Vision

At Central Washington University's Northwest Center for Sport, we are committed to advancing knowledge and experiential opportunities for our students to transform the sport industry for the better. Here at the NWCS, we are committed to serve as a conduit for our students to develop, grow and start to build their legacy.

Who We Are

In an effort to connect our students with the sport industry, we host guest speakers on-campus and virtually from all facets of the sport industry: Seattle Seahawks, Seattle Mariners, Seattle Sounders, San Antonio Spurs, Tampa Bay Rays, Yakima Pippins, Root Sports, the WIAA, Rochester Americans and our own CWU Athletics among others. 

We have hosted conferences in years past and plan to host our Annual CWU NWCS Northwest Sport Management Summit this upcoming May 4, 2021 featuring current leaders from the sport industry from BYU Athletics, Seattle Kraken, Seattle Sounders, Portland Trail Blazers, PAC-12, Michigan State Athletics, Chicago Blackhawks, University of Idaho Recreation, Sport Singapore and more. We as a Center also hold a student trip each year in which we took a group of students last year to the Portland Trail Blazers Career Fair and toured venues such as the Nike Campus, Moda Center and the Hillsboro Hops Ron Tonkin Field.
