"My attendance at the National Congress of American Indians (NCAI) allowed me to engage with a wide range of Indigenous leadership perspectives while deepening my appreciation for traditional knowledge that will continue to guide me throughout my lifetime. Being in community with individuals from diverse regions broadened my understanding of leadership and encouraged me to reflect on my current path while motivating me to pursue even greater goals. Attending the National Congress of American Indians Annual Conference was an invaluable opportunity that allowed me to connect with a wide range of Indigenous leaders while further strengthening the commitment to supporting the Indigenous student population at Central Washington University. The experience also exposed me to diverse approaches for integrating cultural humility into my own professional and personal practices."
